UNEXT DOOR

The Challenge

Language learning apps have become dopamine traps—gamified to addiction but failing at fluency. Unext Door wanted to strip away the badges and leaderboards to focus on the terrifying warmth of real conversation.

The Process

We focused on 'Human-AI Interaction' patterns, testing various voice latency models to ensure the conversation felt natural, not robotic. The feedback loops were designed to be encouraging rather than corrective.

Key Features

  • Real-time AI Voice Conversation
  • Adaptive Difficulty Engine
  • Gamified Learning Paths without Clutter
  • Instant Pronunciation Feedback

The Solution

We designed 'The Empathic Interface'. Integrating OpenAI's GPT-4o, we built a voice-first experience that adapts to your anxiety levels. The UI is intentionally sparse—soft gradients, breathable whitespace, and a reactive voice waveform that mimics human listening patterns. It's not just an app; it's a patient neighbor in your pocket.

The Impact

"Users reported a significant reduction in speaking anxiety. The application successfully bridges the gap between textbook learning and real-world conversation, providing a judgement-free zone for practice."
